Designer and Fabricator of Quality Ornamental Ironwork in Western North Carolina since 1974.
I have always approached my work, creating, designing and building ironwork, with the concept that any project is possible. as long as it is designed and engineered well using high quality materials and craftsmanship.
R S Gursky Ironwork specializes in building with steel (wrought iron), but we also work in all metals including copper, brass, stainless steel, aluminum and in wood and stone. Other materials are also used in the design and execution of furniture and lighting.
Although many Ornamental Ironwork products can be purchased already formed, we have the capabilities of a complete Blacksmith Shop, along with our Fabrication shop.
R S Gursky Ironwork works with Architects, Contractors, Designers and directly with Customers in order to bring their Vision into my Ironwork.
Another area of our work is in the Restoration and Repair of Urban Art. R S Gursky Ironwork has worked for Parks and Recreation, a division of the City of Asheville and the City Art Board and various Conservators.

URBAN ART RESTORATION
In this section all of the sculptures were designed and built by various artists.
The Energy Loop was removed then transported to my Shop. I then restored the sculpture, added a stainless steel base and an internal
drainage system. Later the sculpture was installed by another contractor in Asheville, NC.
All of the other sculptures on this page were removed, restored and installed by RS Gursky Ironwork.
These works of Urban Art were installed under the "Playground Equipment Guidelines and Codes".
